FARMHOUSE BY THE CANAL
Based in the Sherisa Village, on the edge of the Narmada canal, the site belongs to Mr Prakash, who desired an artistic take for his second home. Open plan, larger spaces and a vivid connection to the canal were what he wanted in his home. The wide and linear patch of vegetation between the canal and the site provided a seamless transition, making one's experience a lot better, both in and around the site. The project here showcases the idea of controlled permeability and establishes peculiar details which enable different visual connections along with many of the designed experiences. Divided into three levels, the basement level has a lounge area, followed by a living area and kitchen on the ground floor. The two bedrooms on the second floor offer a pleasant view of the farmlands behind and the canal in front.
